Morehead Planetarium Field Trip-April 10th
The third grade team will be traveling to UNC-Chapel Hill to see Magic Tree House show at the Morehead Planetarium.  Thanks to Target and Morehead Planetarium for the grant and scholarship to let us attend for FREE!

About the Teacher
Miss Kozakiewicz

I am originally from Rochester, NY. I have been living in North Carolina for eight years now. I am in my eighth year of teaching and love it. I am the oldest of three children. I have sister (Melisa) who is 28 and a brother (Brian) who is 24. I love to travel, watch and play sports (Go Buffalo Bills! Go Red Sox!), read books and spend time with friends and family.

Mission For The Class
For students to see what the world has to offer them and help them recognize they can achieve anything when they put their heart and mind into it. Also help them develop a love for reading!! The world is full of so many interesting things. If our kids know what good there is in our world, we can help them develop the skills needed to become a wonderful and successful person.
Every night (Monday-Friday) your student should be reading a book that is at an appropriate level for approximately 20 minutes. Each child has a specific reading zone that they should be reading in. The books they read at home and school need to be within their level so they will continue to be challenged and increase their independent reading ability. I have seen a huge improvement in the students who have been reading every night.
