We are about to begin the new school year and I hope you and your child(ren) have had a good and restful summer. I am excited to be back and ready to get started in our soar to new heights.
There will be some changes in the services provided this year. I will be working with your children both in their classrooms and also in a small group setting in my classroom. I plan to give some homework this year which is different than in the past. The children will receive extra tokens/points for bringing homework back and completing it on time.
Check back frequently to see what each of my grade levels are doing and how your child is participating in this years programs.
Hope to see you all at open house on August 21 from 3-5 pm.
Keep up the good work with helping your children with their studies at home. Encourage your children to read everyday and expand their vocabulary through words and experiences. Make a goal to read everyday for at least 15 minutes with your child. If they see you reading and being supportive of the written word they will spend more time reading and learning the words also.
