SchoolNotes.com - Linking Educators to the Community

Just for you, Leopards!

You will really enjoy social studies this season. Our unit will be the study of the and Russia and Eastern Europe. You will be working on country projects and learning about items made in these countries. Some of your favorite things will be learning about the customs of people in other countries, how people your age live, and celebrations and traditions. We will be enjoying delicious food feasts from the countries. Study for tests by reviewing your notes at home during the week. Complete all of your homework assignments. I am expecting great learning experiences from you as a student in my class.

Reading
We are going to have a great time in reading many different stories this quarter. A pet project is planned as you read about many different animals. We will read a novel about dogs called "The Incredible Journey" and "How to Eat Refried Worms.".The most fasinating part about this is that you will actually read about dogs taking on a human personification! You will also read in your library book at home nightly. Everything you learn this year in reading will be put together in your memory bank for the EOG test in May. Get ready. It's not far away! In addition, we will continue improving reading comprehension and vocabulary. As you read at home on your time, try to remember the story elements, and ask yourself questions about what you have read. Read your favorite library book on your own! Remember Read to be Ready!
