Hello, I am Mrs. Sharon Palmer, the only seventh grade science teacher at SEMS at this time. Welcome to my school notes page. Much of our science work is done at school so homework is minimal. We do many labs in class that cannot be made up at home, so attendance is very necessary.
So far we have studied lab safety, weather, climate, air pollution, and the atmosphere. We are now studying the human body systems and then we will move on to DNA and genetics, along with motion, force, work, and simple machines until June. WOW!! We really have our work cut out for us.
The students have turned in two projects and I am really impressed! Their first project was very good, but the board games on the body systems are really awesome! We might have one more project before school ends if there is time. It will have to do with motion, work, or simple machines. Time is really moving along. I can't believe that May is just around the corner.
I hope your child is enjoying science class. I know I am enjoying having your child in my science class!
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call me at school. My planning time is from 9:25 - 10:40 and I am usually at school until 4:00 each day. I'd love to hear from you.
