TARDY REMINDER          DON'T BE LATE!!!!!

After 2 tardies = Teacher notifies parent by phone or e-mail.

3rd & 4th tardy = Office referral and Assistant Principal may assign 2 days of detention for each tardy.

5th & 6th tardy = Office referral and Assistant Principal may assign 4 days of detention for each tardy.

7th, 8th, & 9th tardy = Office referral and Assistant Principal may assign 1 day of ALC (7th tardy), 2 days of ALC (8th tardy), and 3 days of ALC (9th tardy).

10+ tardy = Office referral and 1 day of OSS for each tardy, starting with the 10th tardy.


Digital Communication Systems
This is a Brand New course that covers the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software using traditional input devices such as the keyboard and scanners. We will also use Handheld PDAs, a Tablet PC, Smart Board, Web Cam, Digital Camcorders and Cameras for data input.  We will be learning to use Dragon Naturally Speaking  which is a speech recognition software. These are new technologies that students can learn in high school to better prepare them for the future!  Come and check out all this new, exciting Technology!


Computer Applications 1
This course is designed to help students master beginning and advanced skills in the areas of word processing, database management, and spreadsheet, telecommunications, and desktop tool applications. Emphasis is on concepts of desktop publishing and presentation graphics as well as skill development in computer application software, operating systems, socail and ethical issues pertaining to information systems, and computer information system careers. Communication skills and critical thinking are reinforced through the software applications.

  


Computer Applications 2
This course is designed to help students master advanced skills in the areas of integrating technology devices, Internet research strategies and uses, complex desktop publishing, multimedia production, and basic web page design. Emphasis is placed on skill development and refinement of skills in information technologies as well as economic, ethical, and social issues in the information technologies area.
