Welcome to the Hanford Dole Guidance Department Webpage.
I'm so glad you could visit!
My name is Michele Twinchek and this is my 9th year as a school counselor. I am originally from Western Pennsylvania; Go STEELERS!! I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Masters in Education and I received my National Board Certification in November 2005.
This year, I am busy with classroom guidance lessons, individual counseling sessions, and small group counseling. I am working this year with Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade. During classroom guidance, the students are working on many wonderful programs. The students are working on the Steps to Respect Program which is an anti-bullying program, Character Education lessons, Career Awareness, and many others that are aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

This year, I am also the testing coordinator for Hanford Dole, so please check out the 2008-2009 Testing Calendar under upcoming events. Parent letters will be sent home reminding families about testing. Parents, please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a healthy breakfast before any state or local test. This will help the student perform their best!!
Please feel free to contact me at Hanford Dole or send me an email if you have any questions regarding testing or the upcoming events at our school.
I am also looking for parent volunteers to proctor state and local tests. Please contact me at the school if you are interested in helping our teachers and students during testing. Thanks for visiting!
