The school year has got off to a great start. The children are working hard. Just a few reminders --- please listen to your child read every night. I will send a book in a plastic bag along with a reading log. Listen to your child read the book and sign the log that they did so and return to school each day. Daily reading is critical to becoming a fluent reader. Also, I send written homework in the agenda each night. Please see that your child does it -- puts the homework in the agenda --and the agenda back in the book bag. The children are looking forward to our upcoming field trip to Lazy 5 Ranch. If you have not reurned a signed permission slip with $3.50 please do so quickly.
