Welcome Back to Hurley!! I am looking forward to another AWESOME year. In case you have not heard, our students met HIGH GROWTH and we met AYP for the year. I am very proud of all our students and staff for all the hard work put forth last year.
I would like to welcome our new staff members: Mrs. Carolina Amaya (ESOL), Ms Freda Snyder (Title 1 tutor), Ms Sharon Earnhardt (PE) and MS Trina Chester (PE). Please make them feel welcome to the Hurley family.
Two of our teachers were married over the summer so be sure to congratulate Miranda Coleman Sigman (5th grade) and Amanda Shirley Chavis (1st grade) as they start their married lives.
BUS INFO
We have almost 500 bus riders on a regular basis and I am proud of all the Hurley drivers that faithful transport your children to and from school.
Please review the bus safety rules with your student. Encourage them to be ready and waiting for the bus every morning.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be looking at the bus stops to determine if stops need to be combined in effort to save fuel.
I will notify you by letter if your child's bus stop will be changing or if your child's bus will be changing due to overcrowding.
