K-1, Gymnastics Skills
To identify and place body parts on an object
To work cooperatively with others in the parachute activity
To understand safety considerations related to tumbling and inverted balances
To balance the body in a variety of situations
To perform individual self-testing stunts
To demonstrate the ability to complete a health-related personal fitness test and achieve fitness scores at an acceptable level
To assess the following areas:
Curl ups to measure abdominal strength/endurance
Shuttle run to measure speed and agility
Endurance run/walk to measure heart/lung endurance by fastest time to cover half mile and mile distance
Flexed-arm hang ability to maintain flex arm position as long as possible
Sit and reach to measure flexibility of lower back and ham strings
