Welcome to the Stingray team. We are off to a great start!

Language Arts-- We are currently reading Greek and Roman myths. Ask your child to tell you about the myths we read each day and why the ancient Greeks and Romans created each of the myths.  Our mythology study will last approximately 4 weeks. We will also concentrate on 2 prefixes each week. Each day our warm up activity will be centered around these prefixes.

Social Studies-- In social studies we are currently studying Ancient Greece. We are correlating our study with the myths we are reading in language arts. We are also doing map activities on Europe. Europe and South America are our areas of study this year. Our study of Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire will last approximately 4 weeks.

Our first field trip of the year will be to the Renaissance Festival on October 14. Watch for infomation to come home soon.
