1. Serve as liaisons with Central Support and School Administration regarding curriculum initiatives and disseminate best practices in instruction
2. Mentor teachers in classroom management and effective instructional techniques a. demonstration lessons b. assist with effective lesson/unit design
3. Observe teachers informally and provide constructive feedback
4. Monitor all teachers in the delivery of the NC Standard Course of Study
5. Assess the availability of adequate resources and work with building and cenral administration in accessing needed materials regularly 6. Conduct site-based professional development 7. Coach teachers in the implementation of both site-based and system-wide professional development 8. Assist in monitoring the implementation of the District and School improvement plans 9. Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Director of Middle Grades Education and the Director of Secondary Education 10. Grow professionally through attendance at conferences and regional trainings 11. Continually seek, utilize, and implement research based best practices for instruction at each school site
