WELCOME TO MRS. STANLEY'S FIFTH GRADE
5th Grade Cloud Title
This year our focus is on improving reading. Each morning our whole school participates in silent reading / conferencing from 10:45 until11:15. Our class is now usingScholastic Reading Counts to test on books we read independently . We incorporate
TIME For Kids into our social studies / science curriculums. This weekly news magazine helps to keep us informed about current events. We will be reading several novels in reading and homeroom classes.
The Salisbury Post is delivered to our classroom each Wednesday as part of the Partners in Education program. We will use these to learn about the sections and features of a newspaper as well as to keep up-to-date about happenings in our city, state, nation, and world.
