I want to welcome all of you to second grade. Below you will find what we are planning to study in the month of September. Know that this page is going to be updated shortly so you will find more information soon.
Reading and Language Arts: The first week is a review of second grade. Our first story is titled " Dragon Gets By". Our main strategies this month include: summarize, monitor/clarify, and making predictions and inferences. Check out our "everything" website to learn more about how you can help your child with reading and all subject areas.
Math: We are reviewing first grade skills and also addition and subtraction with single digit numbers.
Social Studies: We will be starting with a theme of "Citizenship" and how we can be good citizens in our school community.
Science: We will start with Weather September 22nd.
