College Calendar Checklist
Seniors
Review your college choices with your guidance counselor
Collect application materials and keep careful track of all due dates
Plan to take the SAT or Act
Juniors
Get involved in activities
Start exploring all college and careeer sources (the guidance office, guide books and web sites such as www.Careers And Colleges.com)
Seniors
- Start outlining essay ideas
- Contact teachers about recommendations. Give them time to write them.
- Visit any of your college choices that you haven't seen.
- You and one parent should register online for a pin number (www.pin.ed.gov) to file the FAFSA online in January
Juniors
- Attend college fairs, talk to people about their college ecperiences and explore schools online
- Go to College Board website and log onto My College Quickstart to view your PSAT score.
- Prepare for the SAT at collegeboard.com/satprep
