Already into the second quarter! We have completed chapters one through three in math and filled our "Number Toolbox". We have been working on decimals and fractions. This information will be used for the rest of the year. Please continue to work on two and three digit multiplication as well as long division. This is a speed bump to a few of you.
In science we have been spending time talking about erosion. We have been integrating a lot of technology into our lessons. Students really enjoyed our erosion and deposition labs in the eighth grade science lab. We are creating a pamphlet for farmers and construction contractors to help get information about erosion out to those audiences about their contributions to the problem and ways to help prevent erosion. We plan on doing some more labs during this unit and spending some time in the library computer lab for virtual labs and research.
