Welcome to my parents. Our school year is going well. It is almost time for Ist Quarter reports cards! The report card will come home with your child on November 5, remember to sign the cover and return it. I will be having report card conferences about the first report cards on Oct.27. You will receive an individual note about this. You can always call for a conference at any time - if you wish to discuss your child. We are planning a special field trip to Old Salem this school year on March 3!!!!!

The following are what we are studying in class:
Reading - Family reunions and proper nouns
Writing- practicing writing prompts and special writing lessons
English- sentence construction
Spelling - your child has a list of words to study every week, usually 10 words. See the flashcards
Science - we are doing a special unit on Rocks and Minerals. This unit involves much technology, including popcasting!
Math - multiplication and division
