Hello! The library is a magical gateway into your imagination and information. I love reading and helping my students find what books they need.
Did you know that parents can also check out books from our library? The library is not a closed off circuit just because it is in a school. So please come by and get books. We'll set a card up for you that will last until the end of the school year for as long as your student goes to North Rowan Elementary.
I want the library to be a place of freedom and open minds, which as readers we all represent. There are books of many different genres. We have funny books, horse books, horror books, fantasy books, Jack and Annie books, science fiction books, poetry books... you name it and we probably have it, genre-wise anyway.
If we do not have a particular title you would like please make a note and drop it in the suggestion box. I can not promise that all of these books will be purchased due to funding, but will try to purchase some. Thank you.

NEW THIS YEAR BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
Battle of the Books has been going on at the middle schools for a while. Now we have it. Fourth and Fifth graders who choose to try out for the Battle of the Books team will have to read 12 books. I will give them a test in January for those 12 books. The children who score the highest will be on the team. I will coach these students from January till march/April. This team will compete with other schools in the spring time at Horizons. If they beat the teams at Horizons they will go to a bigger competition.
