When I think about this being April, I realize this year will soon come to an end. We will be experiencing alot of excieting events and alot of assessments during the last few weeks. Please make sure the kids get a good nights sleep and are ready to work hard to make the best the can on the assessments.
I have several up coming dates and reminders I would like to share with you at this time:
April 24: Faculty playing Fifth grade 1:30-2:30 Basketball
May 7: PTO 3-4
May 12: Writing Assessment
May 18: Due Date for Reading Counts
May 19: Reading Dance 1:00-2:30
May 21: perfect attendance
May 22: Reading Carnival
May 19-22: EOG's Grades 3-5
June 10: Last Day for Students
We are really trying to meet the attendance goal for the next 20 days. Please make every effort to have your child attend school.
Along with the changing seasons comes colds and fevers. Please encourage your child to cough into their arms, use germ X and to please wash their hands often. Hopefully this will help keep us all healthy and avoid colds and flu.
If your child becomes sick, and misses a day of school, please remember to send a note so they will be excused due to illness.
Character Trait for April?May: Perservance Being persistant to the pursuit of worthy objectives and having the forititude to try again when confronted with delays, mistakes, or failures.

Spelling words should be written with lowercase letters. Words written with capital letters and letters that are made backwards will be counted incorrect.

We are working on Math Assessments, DRA'S, and Lexile for the Fourth Nine Weeks Report Card"s.
We will have our next writing assessment on May 12th it will be a narrative writing prompt.
