Materials: flip chart, glass jar w/ a lid, matches, ice

Materials: construction paper, cotton, glue, charcoal or markers

Materials: pie pan, hot plate, water

Materials: thermometers, rain gauge, heat source, ice cups

Plan:

1.                                 Warm up: define condensation, dew, and frost

2.                                 Go over answers to study guide # 9 & 10

3.                                 Go over the ER question for Wed.’s test  Teacher will choose from:

4.                                 Do The Atmosphere in Motion

5.                                 Do cloud in a bottle

6.                                 Review for test

Plan:

  1. Warm up: define run off, surface water & ground water
  2. Go over study guide answers 11-13c
  3. Students will make a cloud poster.  Students will pick 4 clouds.  Each section must have the cloud type, description of cloud, description of weather, a background scene, & low or high pressure
  4. If time, write cloud couplets

Plan:

  1. Warm up  Take out your vocabulary and study for 5 minutes
  2. Do Weather Vocabulary Part 1 Test
  3. Read p. 257-259

Plan:

  1. Warm up Do Weather Journal
  2. Go over study guide answers to 14 -17
  3. Teacher will choose from:
  4. Can we make it rain?
  5. Can we make it hail?
  6. Review for test on Weather Part 1 study guide

Plan:

  1. Warm up: Precipitation Presentation.  Teacher will chose from:
  2. Students will go to different station and use/read weather instruments.
  3. Do Weather instruments sheet
  4. Do Relative humidity sheet
  5. Make a hand held thermometer.
