On Wednesday we will test on fiction and non-fiction elements. Please study the notes in your notebook.
I didn't want to test the students twice in one day, so we will have our social studies map skills test on Thursday, 9/4. Please study your study guide given in class as well as the continents map that you completed for homework.
This week we will be reviewing the Civil War in order to begin studying Reconstruction next week. In reading we will focus on point of view, figurative language (similes and metaphors), and context clues.
Our fall PTO Open House has been rescheduled to Sep. 11, the night of our school wide picnic. The picnic will be held first and then the open house. You can attend either or both. Hope to see you there!
