A special thank you to all of those who brought snacks for "Matinee Day". We appreciate your generosity and commitment.
Veteran's Day is November 11th. We would like to remember and honor the veterans close to our students. If your child knows a veteran who he/she would like to acknowledge, please let me know the veteran's name, branch of service, and address/phone number. We will be writing essays/letters and inviting our veterans to be recognized.
This week, we are focusing on the State Writing Rubric for quality writing. We will continue with DLR (Daily Language Review), Word a Day, and Journal writing. We will work in groups to analyze the state writing rubric to gain understanding of the terminology as well as imperative components of effective writing to implement in our own.
The test is Friday, and DLR (classwork) is due Friday, as usual, for a daily grade.
