7th and 6th graders are studying The Parts of the Body (Les Parties de Corps). It's a fun activity in which we sing "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes" in French and touch the body parts , speeding up the tempo on every verse. We will also help learn the body parts by playing "Touche", a 2-person competitive game in which the first student to touch the correct body part that I call out wins a point.
8th graders are studying all aspects of travel in Europe and are learning necessary questions and expressions that a tourist would need to know in order to get around in France. The students are learning everything phonetically and through oral practice as they act out skits and role play.
