Physical Education I:  This course is designed to promote healthy lifestyles through physical fitness. The focus of this class is based around team sports.  Among the activites covered in this class will be fitness testing, and an introduction to learn team building through various team games.  Grading for physical education is comprised of skill tests, written tests, and daily participation.  Students will participate in Soccer, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Softball and Tennis.                                                                                                                            

Weight Training: Weight training is designed to help students improve their body image by adding mass, losing body fat, and toning muscle groups.  Weight training is also used to improve the level of fitness in order to compete effectively in organized sports for the Cherokee County School District.

Health and Fitness:  This course focuses on students' personal health and well being in regards to fitness, disease, abuse, prevention and awareness, communication, family and environmental health. The highlight of the class is the built-in class lab where physical activity will the performed.  A personal fitness plan will be developed including a personal fitness calendar with the students logging  60 hours of physical activity.

Assessment:  Students will be assessed on participation, dressing out, written tests and teacher observation.

Rules:  Be on Time, Follow classroom procedures and discipline codes outlined in the student handbook, Be prepared for class, Be respectful to the teacher and other students.
