This week we will be working in chapter 6 of Math & Finishing up Chapter 5 in Science.
We will also be working with different types of thinking mapss to enhance learning.

FIELD TRIP UPDATE: the field trip to Decovery Place has been rescheduled for Friday October 24, 2008. All monies are to be turned in no later than September 29th.
All 6th graders are required to do a science project, so it would be a good idea to start thinking about it early on.
PARENTS: Please encourage your child that his/her homework assignments are as equally important as classwork. There is limited instructional time during each class period, therefore it is highly encourgade that students make arrangements to make up missed assignments during lunch or after school.
I need your help in encouraging your child to do his/her best. Classwork and homework are very important, moreover the responsibility level of your child has increased. I asked my students to write down at least three telephone numbers of their peers so that they could call for homework assignments, in the event that they are absent from school. You are welcomed to visit my class to see how and what your child is learning. I try to provide your child a safe and peaceful learning environment while building character and self-esteem at the same time. My planning hours are Monday through Friday from 2:00-3:20.
