
Spring Has Sprung!!!!!
May 19-23, 2008
Monday: In math students will go to the compass lab to practice deficient math skills. In science, students will be reviewing waves and other important information for PACT!!! No Homework This Week!!!!
Tuesday: Science or Social Studies PACT! Students will go to Blocks 3 and 4 after testing!
Wednesday: NO PACT TODAY!!!!! 8th Grade Cookout this afternoon!!!!!!!
Thursday: Math PACT Field Testing Today!!!!
Friday: Make-up Testing for students who were absent this week!
Important Information from the
State Department of Education:
Policy on Use of Electronic Imaging and Photography Devices:
Students may not bring into the testing location any electronic or other device that can be used for communications, timing, or imaging. These devices include but are not limited to cell phones, pagers, beepers, headphones, stop watches, electronic translators, hand-held devices, PDA's or any electronic imaging or photographic device.

Important Dates To Remember:
May 29: 8th Grade Field Trip to Starmax....Students need to turn in their permission forms and $20 NO LATER than May 27th!!
June 4: 8th Grade Graduation 9:00 AM
Students are asked to wear black and white. Dress code must be followed. Students will receive report cards in the gym immediately following graduation. There will be a reception in the cafeteria and students are free to leave with their parents. This is the last day of school for 8th grade students.
All fines must be paid before graduation. Students that owe for textbooks, library fines, etc. will not be allowed to participate in graduation.

Classroom Rules and Expectations:
1. Bring all materials to class EVERYDAY! This includes Math textbook and WORKBOOKS!
2. Once you are in your seat do not move around the room without permission!
3. Do not talk while the teacher is talking!
4. ABSOLUTELY NO RIDICULING!
5. Show respect to EVERYONE (teacher and classmates)
6. Turn in all work on time and in a neat and orderly fashion!
7. NO PENS ALLOWED IN MATH CLASS!
8. Always follow the Golden Rule: Treat others as you would want to be treated!!
