I just wanted to update everyone with some current news.
Next Tuesday, January 13th at 7:00 p.m., the PTA will host our 2nd annual Middle School Mania Night. This is an informational evening where our local Middle Schools will be present to answer all of the questions parents and children have about their Middle School options.
The Middle Schools that have been invited to attend are James Weldon Johnson, Darnell Cookman, LaVilla School of the Arts, Dupont Middle School, Southside Middle School, Landon Middle School, Twin Lakes Middle School and Kirby Smith Middle School. Hope to see you there!!! Refreshments will be served.
Please remember that school will not be in session on January 16th and January 19th.
The PTA is excited to announce that we will be selling a product called "Smencils". A smencil is a scented pencil made from 100% recycled newspapers. They come in ten different scents and are sold for $1.00 each. We will also have available colored smencils which come ten in a container for $12.00.
We will be selling them before school one day a week (day to be determined), as well as at different functions during the school year. If you would like to help with this little fundraiser, please feel free to respond to this email. Always remember, that all proceeds go directly back into our school to benefit our children and teachers!
