Announcements:
Now posted in Attachments at the bottom is an FHS Brick Application. Have your name live in infamy on the school grounds! The common areas are in poor shape and our school needs our support! With this money, we will refurbish designated walk areas, stadium area, put awnings, benches, landscaping and trees in the courtyard, and have additional funds for scholarships! Please buy a brick and help beautify the campus.
PTSA MEETING: The PTSA Board usually meets the second Monday of each month during the school year at 7:00 PM in the FHS Administrative Conference Room. Next meeting is May 19th. All PTSA members are welcome to attend. Check the calendar on the right for changes.

We are tantalizingly close to breaking membership records and are seeking alumni and business leaders to join our PTSA and help us over the top. Even if you have joined personally, you can still join with your business name. Please consider all the school has done and is doing for you today and send in your membership form or pass it on to community leaders. The form is at the bottom of this page. Thanks!
Volunteer Opportunities:
There is one way to make a real difference in the quality of your child's education and high school experience - GET INVOLVED! Especially for parents of new high school students, spending a little volunteer time on campus is a perfect way to find out more about the school and alleviate some of the questions or fears about "what high school is really like". For all students, parent involvement sends a clear message that your child is important, school is important, and that home and school are connected to work together towards a successful year. For parents who are limited in their ability to travel to school or to give time during the school day, there are many other needs for your time and talents. Just let us know what you can do and when you are available, and we'll find the right volunteer opportunity for you.

Ways & Means:
No Frills-No Catalog Fundraiser/Donations: Since our big fundraiser does not take place until later May, we are holding a No Frills/No Catalog Fundraiser. We are simply asking for donations from our families and community leaders to continue the progress we have made in making your child's high school experience an enjoyable one. Donations can be made out to Fletcher PTSA and are tax deductible.
The Players Championship:
This is Fletcher PTSA's major fundraiser and we need all the help we can get. A great showing of volunteers for this event alone provides most of the funds we use to support the school and students the entire year. You spend half a day working at a prime-location concession stand and then can enjoy watching some of the best golfers in the world for free!
We have 350 positions to fill! Signup with friends and / or meet new friends!

You can only view the schedule. To volunteer, contact Tammy Emerson or send an email (link at the top of the FHS PTSA School Notes website). Tammy will need your name, phone #(s), email, and preferred times and location.
Shifts are morning or afternoon on Monday, May 5th through Sunday, May 11th (Mother’s Day). Students 15 years of age or older may volunteer and receive community service hours, so sign them up for the afternoon and weekend shifts.
1. Tents are concession and sell hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, cold drinks and beer.
2. Volunteers run the cash registers, runners to get ordered food, making the food, selling the beer and passing drinks. It can get crazy, but is a lot of fun!
3. 10th hole is at the bottom of a hill. You can see the players walk by ready to tee-off at the 10th.
4. 18/9th hole is on a small hill looking over a lake. It is between the 9th & 18th holes. You can see the players there also.
5. Mon thru Thurs is not too busy, except when Tiger Woods walks by. Fri, Sat and Sun are Slamming!
6. We need adults early in the week because the students are still in school.
7. If you have never experienced the event, give it a try. It is so much fun meeting new faces and getting to interact with students and the volunteers from the Navy.
8. The uniform is a white shirt and khaki shorts or pants. Last year we could wear Fletcher shirts.
Fletcher PTSA has a great reputation for providing extra volunteers and this gets us some preferred locations.
Tickets this year will be at the TPC gate!
Fletcher HS PTSA thanks you for your support!
