I apologize how long it has taken me to learn the ropes for Belen's new webpages, but I will no longer be using Schoolnotes to list assignments. Instead you can find my work listed on my faculty page at the Belen website.
This change will become more useful than Schoolnotes, and I intend to update it everyday.

B--QUIZ NEXT WEDNESDAY ON CHAPTER ONE FROM TEXT PLUS 50 STATES, INCLUDING LOCATION ON OUTLINE MAP, CAPITAL CITY, AND 2-LETTER POSTAL ABBREVIATIONS. FOR THE STATES AND CITIES, CORRECT SPELLING IS REQUIRED.

A & B--WHILE YOU ARE WAITING FOR CLASSES TO BEGIN, PLEASE SPEND AT LEAST A LITTLE TIME READING OR LISTENING TO THE NEWS. I HAVE
RECOMMENDED SOME NEWS SOURCES (SEE LIST BELOW), BUT ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING. WE WILL SPEND A LOT OF TIME THIS YEAR
FOLLOWING NEWS STORIES AND IT WILL BE HELPFUL IF YOU ARE ALREADY PAYING ATTENTION BEFORE CLASSES START. SOME TOPICS YOU SHOULD
ESPECIALLY PAY ATTENTION TO ARE 1--THE ECONOMY (STILL A MAJOR STORY), AND 2--THE PREIDENT'S EFFORT TO CHANGE AMERICAN HEALTHCARE.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT COLLEGE PREP (OR HONORS) CIVICS, PLEASE BE PATIENT. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR TEXTBOOK, SOME PAPER,
A PEN AND A PENCIL ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES. YOU WILL GET A CHANCE TO ASK PLENTY OF QUESTIONS DURING THE FIRST WEEK.
