Week of September 8 - 12

Language Arts - Continue creating "7 Traits" flipbook.  Review dead words, Introduce how to decipher a prompt and create a thesis statement.

Literature - Introduce week two vocabulary, continue with plot line.  Introduce the short story "Raymond's Run."

I will be introducing the project for the second summer reading book.  This will be completed at home and will be due on Tuesday, September 16th.

Novel Studies:  Chapters 3, 4 and 5 in That Was Then, This Is Now.

Homework:  Begin summer reading project due 9/16
           Vocabulary practice worksheet due Wednesday
           Vocabulary test on week two words on Friday
