November 20th:
It has been brought to my attention that Juniors who scored a level 2 on the Grade 10 FCAT, even though they passed with a 300 or higher received a Progress Monitoring Plan (PMP) letter (ways core courses are preparing them for the FCAT).
If your current Junior passed the Grade 10 Reading and/or Math FCAT last year with a 300 or higher they should not stress over the letter.
Juniors are scheduled to take the FCAT Science this year, they will not go back and retake any of the Grade 10 Math or Reading if they previously passed as a Sophomore last year!
A level 2 Reading Achievement Level for Grade 10 is the range of 287-326 (1852-2067).
A passing FCAT Score is 300 or higher, so students in the range of 300 through 326 may receive a letter generated from the county, even though they officially passed the FCAT.
You can view Test scores/Graduation Requirements via Virtual Counselor at www.browardschools.com.
Log in as a student only requires the student number (available on any report card, interim report, or schedule) and the student's birthdate (mm/dd/year), don't forget the full birth year must be written out.
