SchoolNotes.com - Linking Educators to the Community

Learning is in full swing.  Students have adjusted well to the rigorous schedule of fourth grade.

All students have a passion for learning.  No matter what the topic, they are excited and ready for the challenge.

They are always eager to read, and love writing.  What a powerful group of learners.

We have just completed our first project on Biomes.  The products and presentations were fantastic.  They ranged from posters and dioramas to power point presentations.

Math is a new challenge for all students, but they are facing the challenge well.  We are currently working on elapsed time, mean median and mode, and will be moving into place value.   For the Holidays we will be investigating pumpkins using measurement in mathematics.

Thank you parents for supporting your child in their learning adventures.  I would also like to thank you for yours support and kind words.

My Mission:  To develop a community of learners who work together to achieve their personal best.

Parents may use the following tips to encourage your child to be their Personal Best!

Allow your child to be independent
        Promote responsibility for homework
        Accept only quality work
Ask your child open ended questions
Read with your child and have discussions over the topic
Dialogue with your child about everyday events
Use rich vocabulary during discussions, expect
                the same from your child
Create games to play while riding in the car to increase
                vocabulary and math skills.
Be accepting of their mistakes and guide them
Write notes to your child and have them respond in kind
