Fundraisers: The March of Dimes is Tuesday...even a small donation is very much apprectiated! One of Cape Elementary's OM Teams is trying to raise money to go to the World Competition in a few weeks. They are currently selling bracelets for $1.00 and plants for Mother's Day for $4.00. Please send in your money if you would like to support our OM Team! They will also be having a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 16th at Beef O'Brady's. Come on out and join the fun!
Please visit ParentLink at leeschools.net to keep track of all your child's grades. Once you are in the website click on the "Parents" tab and then find the link for ParentLink. I update grades every Wednesday so you can see new updated grades every Thursday. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 542-3551.
Reading: In reading this week we will be learning about facts and opinions. The students will have fun writing some of their own facts and opinions.
Math: In math this week we will be doing a review of all we've learned about measurement, place value, money, time, and problem solving. The kids will have lots of fun working in learning stations while reviewing each skill.
Language Arts: In writing this week we will be writing our own narrative stories. We will finish the week off with a scrapbook about ourselves, so please remember to send in five pictures of your child that we can use in our fact/opinion scrapbooks. We can't wait to show them to you at the end of the year!
Science: In science this week we will continue to learn about animals. We will begin an animal project next week and even make a Power Point presentation about our animal.
Please remember to send in box tops and soup labels. This is money that goes directly into our classroom! Thank you in advance.
Please be sure to check your child's planner and homework each night and encourage your child to read to you nightly. I truly feel that the success of each child depends on our working together as a team. Thank you for all your support!
