Welcome to Mrs. Higginson's World of Math
This now includes Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 Mathematics classes: 1st & 6th periods are Advanced 1 and 2nd, 4th, 5th, & 7th are Advanced 2 classes.
Your student has taken the placement test for Advanced Mathematics. That is Algebra Readiness Test. It will be used to form my Kagan Groups for learning.
Students are required to use a pencil on each math assignment or points are taken off. Students are required to show their work on their math assignments, whether it is a class assignment or a class assessment. Your student should be writing the problem and showing their work on their homework as well. I do not accept answers only. This will be thoroughly discussed several times, so if you notice your student is continually putting answers only, please encourage them to do their homework the correct way.
They will be assigned a Mathematician to research and complete papers related to them. A rubric will be used to assign points. You will be getting the packet about the 2nd week of the 4th quarter.
