 Kindergarten School Supply List:

  • Two package of yellow #2 pencils (per quarter)
  • One 4 ounce bottles of Elmer's white glue
  • Four large glue sticks
  • One box of 24 Crayola crayons
  • One book bag (large enough to hold a folder. No book bags on wheels please.)
  • One child size pair of Fiskars brand scissors
  • One Caloosa Kg. planner (This can be purchased from our school store for $5 each)
  • One black marble composition books (No spiral notebooks please)

 These extra supplies requested by 

Mrs. Pilgrim are in addition to the

above supply list.

  • One 3x5 index card box
  • One package of white cardstock (110 weight)
  • One Package of white copy paper

As supplies become low, I may ask for an additonal donation of supplies.

The Kindergarten team will also be asking for a $5.00 donation activity fee each quarter to help with the purchase of needed supplies for cooking and craft activities thoughout the school year.

 Friendly Reminders and Information:

  • Please send your child's planner and red folder to school everyday.
  • Please read and sign your child's planner each night.
  • School start time 8:00 am - 2:15 pm
  • Children arriving after 8:00 am  will be marked late.
  • Due to an early start time, there is not a before care program.
  • When sending lunch money/payments to school please place it in an envelope with your child's name on it and label what it is for.
  • If there is a change in the way your child is to go home please send a note or fax a note to 574-1449. All notes must have a parent/guardian signature.  Any student without a signed change of transportation note will be sent home the way they went the day before.
  • Please sign your child's homework. All homework assignments are due to school the next day. Make sure your child's name is on their homework (please use a pencil to complete assignments).
  • Please proper shoes to school each day. Tennis shoes are suggested to be worn everyday.
  • Please do not sent your child to school with a belt if they are unable to fasten and unfasten it themselves.
  • Phonograms and sight words are to be reviewed each night after your child's homework page is complete. Flashcards are available on this site or at our school bookstore to help your child study.
  • Please be sure your child knows each day whether they are buying or bringing  lunch. All money sent to school must be in an envelope or zip-lock bag with your child's name on it stating what it is for.
  • Please be sure to inform me of any school activites and/or celebrations your child is not allowed to participate in. Such as: holiday events, birthdays, field trips, photographs, and saying the pledge to the American flag.  
  • If you child needs to make a purchase at the school store please send a note with their money.
  • Many bookbags and lunch boxes look alike. Please write your child's name on the inside of their bookbag and/or lunch box.
  • Although we do not take naps in Kindergarten, our class has a 15 min. quiet time and restroom break after lunch each day.
  • Our lunch time this year is from 10:46-11:12 pm. We do not have a snack time before lunch. Please be sure  your child eats a good breakfast. 
  • Please do not send soda in your child's lunch box. Soda is not allowed at school.
  • If you would like your child to purchase water or juice instead of milk please send a note. Milk is served with all hot lunch meals.
  • Please put your child's bookmark in their library book when returning it to school.
  • When colder weather approaches, please make sure your child's jacket or sweat shirt has their name on it.

Full Price Lunch - $1.95

Full Price Breakfast - $1.00

Reduced Price Lunch - .40 cents

Reduced Price Breakfast - .30 cents

Extra Milk - .40 cents

Caloosa Elementary Manatory 

School Dress Code:   

Bottoms- Kaki (Tan) or Navy  shorts or pants

Shirts- Red, White, Navy, Yellow (Shirts must be a solid color, free from wriiting and/or designs.  All shirts must be collared)  

Shoes- Tennis Shoes are suggested to be worn everyday

Caloosa Elementary has a mandatory standarized dress code as approved by school community and the Lee County School Board. All Students are expected to follow this dress code and there are consequences for failure to comply.

FIRST OFFENSE- Student will call/note home from the classroom for a change of clothing

SECOND OFFENSE- Student will be sent to the office and Adminestration will assist in making the phone call home.

THIRD OFFENSE- Student will have a dention on Friday

Caloosa T-Shirt Days: 

Every Friday with uniform bottoms!

No JEANS on Fridays.

Caloosa T-Shirts can be purchased at

 our school bookstore.

June 2nd - End of Year SAC meeting 6 pm

June 5th - Kindergarten Outside Day 9:00am until lunch.

June 8th - Early Dismissal 12:15pm

June 9th- Early Dismissal 12:15pm

June 10th - Early Dismissal 12:15pm

June 10th - Kindergarten Awards Day. Please join us in our classroom. Time TBA. You may sign your child out early after the awards ceremony.

June 10th - Report Card Day

June 10th - Last Day for Students - Have a wonderful summer. Best wishes for 1st grade. It has been a pleasure teaching your child.

EVERY TUESDAY IS ICE CREAM DAY

DON'T FORGET...

Don't forget to bring  your money in an envelope with your child's name on it.

Every Tuesday is ice cream day in the cafeteria. Ice cream costs .50 cents and is served during our lunch time. Money can not  be taken directly from your child's account, please send the additional  .50 cents in an envelope or zip-lock bag with their name on it saying ice cream money.  

If you want your child to purchase water or juice with lunch, please send a note. Milk is served with all hot lunches.
