*Change in Family Math Night. The next Family Math Night was scheduled for March 27th. This will be rescheduled for April 10th on Addition and Subtraction. There will be two Family Math Night's in the month of April.
Mathematics
We just finished learning about money and time in Mathematics. Your student should be able to identify the coins (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter). They should be able to give the values for each of the coins. Your student should be able to tell time to the hour.
We are working on geometry. The students will be expected to identify basic shapes and identify three dimensional shapes such as: cube, sphere, and cone.
I have introduced addition to the students. We are using a lot of manipulatives and adding them together to make a whole group of objects. They are having so much fun with addition!
Reading
We are very busy reading sentences! We are busying identifying the beginning, middle, and ending sounds of CVC words. We are having so much fun reading!!!
Writing
We have been working hard on writing a complete sentence using a connecting word such as: beacause or and.
Social Studies
We are very busy learning about the presidents. Ask your student facts about Abraham Lincoln or George Washington!
Science
We just finished talking about the seasons and different habitats around the world. We will be working on our dental health and nutrition unit this month!
