Monday-  Read and respond to Daybook story

The Seventh Grade by Gary Soto.

Tuesday- Read and respond to Daybook poem Oranges and excerpts from Gary Soto.

Wednesday-  Library day!  Students will have the opportunity to go to the library in small groups.  Students will also read The Breadwinner in their Daybooks with a partner and answer corresponding questions.

Thursday-  Students will complete lessons 8-10 in their Daybooks and respond to questions.

Friday-  Students will review for the mid-term exam.   Students will create a foldable to assist them in studying for their mid-term exam.

MONDAY-  Students will finish summary for lesson 9 rewards plus.  Students will share book reports with the class, and play the games that they created for their books.

TUESDAY-  Students will review United Nations and complete fluency timings.  A grade for participation will be given.

WEDNESDAY- Students will go to the media center to check out books.  Students will also begin Word Wisdom Unit 3 part 1  THIS IS HOMEWORK TOO!  What is not finished in class must completed at home.  (no homework passes!)

THURSDAY- Review of Unit 3 part 1.  Students will create word maps for these words to help them study the meanings and applications of each word.  STUDY FOR TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNIT 3 Part 1 words AND Lesson 9 Rewards!

FRIDAY- Computer lab to take Unit 3 Part 1 Animal Eyes and United Nations test.  Students will finish lessons 1-4 on http://www.studyisland.com/

December  1st-5th

Cereal box BOOK REPORTS are DUE WEDNESDAY OF THIS WEEK!!!

I will be taking off points for late reports (30 points per day) from a total of 200 points possible.  Students will be working on these projects in class ALL Monday and Tuesday!  They will even have the opportunity to type and print out anything they need in class on these days!  There should be NO reason why these projects are not TURNED IN ON TIME!!!!!!

If a student does not have a cereal box, they can just bring allof the completed items in, and I will make sure they are given a box to put the items on!  If your child needs art supplies or paper, they are also able to borrow this from me!  

MONDAY- Students will work in class on their cereal box book reports.  They will be given the opportunity to type and print any items they need.

TUESDAY- Students will be given all class period to work on their cereal box book reports.  They will be given another chance to create their games, print, or type up any info they need to for this project.

WEDNESDAY-students will turn in their projects.  We will be completing the STAR reading test on line in the computer lab today.

THURSDAY-We will begin the next section of REWARDS plus application lesson 9 and complete the fluency timings and comprehension.   Students will finish application lesson 9 expository writing and response including planning box.  This will be homework if not completed in class. 

FRIDAY-  Word Wisdom lesson UNIT 3 Part 1  Students will complete this lesson in class with a partner.

If this is not finished in class, it will be assigned as homework.

Wednesday Students will have one last trip to the book fair in small groups.  DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR $ if you plan to make a purchase!  We will Begin pgs. 41-45  (you can CROSS OFF PAGE 42) Word Wisdom (red book) in class.  Whatever is not done in class will be homework!

Thursday  Computer lab to complete study island FCAT pretest and log in to Quia links above.  You must take the citizenship quiz, have 10 minutes logged in for Quia citizenship, and take the study island pretest. 

Friday  Review Word Wisdom Habitat for Humanity, and take quiz.  D.E.A.R. for the remainder of class.  (I will also give students time to complete make-up work.

LAST WEEK'S assignments

Wednesday -  Students will take a test on last week's words Branches of Government -blue rewards book pg. 65 and Word Wisdom Money Mistakes pgs. 34-39

Thursday-  Rewards Blue book pgs. 75-79   Read story with a partner,  then complete fluency practice with Hot and COLD timing.  Graph scores in goal folders.  I will introduce the words with students at the beginning of the period. 

Friday- Students will complete the rest of application lesson 7 in Rewards Plus Blue book.  This includes extended response with a planning box. 

   Begin working on your cereal box book report.  Remember it is due December 3rd!
