Mrs. Wilcox's second grade class Caloosa Elementary  March, 2009 This Month we have several activities happening at our school. We have Read Across America on March 2nd. This will be a fun day with special guests and special center activties. Then on March 20th we will have our special Spring Pictures where students do not have to wear uniforms. They may wear a "picture perfect" outfit.... they can dress up or wear casual outfits as well as sports attire. Have fun choosing this special outfit. On March 26th we have our character dress up day for our special book report. Please help your child choose their favorite storybook character and dress up on this Friday. They also have a written report to go along with the dress-up outfit. This same day, March 26th is also our Family Picnic night that got canceled in October because of bad weather. It will go from 4:30 until dusk. Please bring your family and enjoy in the fun evening.
Monday: Do handwriting practice and math paper practice. Read about 20 minutes. Read an AR book each night for about 15 -20 minutes. Please sign planner each night
Tuesday: Write a paragraph about the given topic each week. Read an AR book for about 15 -20 minutes. Please sign the planner.
Wednesday: You will get a paper reading booklet. With this booklet are 12 questions. The students need to answer the even questions questions. The answers need to be written in complete sentences instead of one or two words.
Thursday: Write each spelling word 2 times. Do math practice sheet. Study for written spelling test on Friday.
