Mrs. Smith's Class Notes
September, 2008
Hello Families,
I have spent only 9 days with your children, and I am inpressed with how well they have learned our routines at Caloosa. Thank you for the school supplies. You have made the first days of school easier.
Each week I will put our goals into the planner.Look for the large envelope each Monday. Look at the papers inside and then after signing the envelope, return it to school. Homework comes in a colored folder. When your child completes the work, please return it in the folder.
We have learned the sounds for "a and e." These are called phonograms. This month we will learn "h, k, m, r, s, w, z, and c." We also work on listening for the beginning sounds. We have just completed "a" and this month we will work on identifying the beginning sounds for "e, h, k, and m."
Although we talk about numbers all day, we will concentrate on shapes, sorting and patterning. We had fun this week going in, on, under, through, and over.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can write them in the planner or you can contact me at school, 574-3113, from this site, or sharonks@leeschools.net.
fondly,
Mrs. S. Smith
