SchoolNotes.com - Linking Educators to the Community

 GOALS

The goals of the World Language Program are to help students develop the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively in other languages, to connect to other disciplines, and to compare their cultures to others in order to better understand the communities of the world.

Expectations

Grades are assigned as follows:

A= excellent, outstanding, going above and beyond expectations

B= better than average/ better than the majority

C= average/ the same as the majority of other students

D= less than average/ less than what most students can reasonably accomplish

F= failing/ not living up to the minimum requirements

All school rules will be enforced. An agenda explaining the school rules, as well as county rules, is provided on each student’s first day in school. Please familiarize yourself with the school rules and comply with them.  The ability to follow rules is a skill necessary for being successful in the real world.

Students are expected to have their agenda book (a.k.a.: planner) with them every day. Agenda books are necessary in order for emergency passes to be issued.  All homework assignments should be recorded in the agenda book on a daily basis. Assignments should be reviewed each day before leaving school for home and again before returning to school the following day to ensure that all of the necessary materials are on hand.

Students are expected to keep organized  binders or notebooks with all handouts and assignments. Stuffing papers into the textbook weakens the binding and causes harm to the textbook, leading to damage charges for the student.

Each student is responsible for bringing his/her own materials/supplies to class each day.              If, for any reason , a student comes to class unprepared a zero will be issued for that assignment--no discussion. Students may only work together on group assignments.
