Novel Project Criteria
Power Point:
- Minimum 10 slides long
- Must include pictures/images
- Detailed description or summary of the book
- You will be graded on organization, creativity, grammar, and information
Plays:
- Script
- Must be at least 4 typed pages long (not including title page)
- Title page
- 12 point font
- At least 3 main characters
- You will be graded on organization, creativity, grammar, and information
- Video of book
- Must be at least 5-10 minutes long
- Costumes and scenery
- You will be graded on organization, creativity, grammar, and information
Children’s book
· Minimum of 10 pages long with descriptions and illustrations
· Cover/binding
- You will be graded on organization, creativity, grammar, and information
Papers
Character Analysis
· Must be 2 typed pages long
· 12 point font
· Explore a specific character from your novel (doesn’t have to be the main character)
· Write a description of this character going beyond the surface
· Why did he/she do specific things in the novel
· How did this character affect the outcome/storyline of this novel
Hidden Meanings
· Must be 2 typed pages long
· 12 point font
· Did your novel have hidden meanings?
· Did certain events or characters represent things that the ordinary reader would not pick up on
· What were the morals/values/lessons that you discovered in your novel
Movie/Book Comparison
· Must be 2 typed pages long
· 12 point font
· Watch the movie version of your novel and compare it to the book
· How are they different?
· Which do you prefer and why?
