Week of May 19-23
Monday: Last Day to turn in library books!
Tuesday: A.R. Hot Dog Readers' Day in the Park (12:00 - 2:00)
Wednesday:
Thursday: Spelling Test - We will write the months of the year in order.
Friday: Show & Tell; Tony's School of Music Recital - 8:30
*Math: We are continuing to work on writing our numbers to 1000! We are continuing to review all skills taught this year.
*Reading: Our May reading fluency goal is 60 words per minute. We are reading and rereading our favorite stories from the year!
*Social Studies: We are learning about our state, Alabama!
*Addison Elementary will be collecting donations to go toward a memorial garden in honor of Glida Greene, Jonna Hocutt, and Ashlynn Graves-Howell. All donations will be appreciated. Please call the office of Addison Elementary 256-747-1665. Ceremony will be announced.
*May 19 - All library books are due.
*Thanks to the P.T.O. for a super "Fun Day"! We loved it!
*May 20 - A.R. Hot Dog Readers' Celebration - All K-2 students who have completed our A.R. reading goal will get an afternoon at Alexander Park (12:00 - 2:00). Please make sure your child has sunscreen.
*May 29th - Last Day of School! I will give out report cards and reading trophies at 8:00 a.m. in our classroom. Parents are welcome to come for this!
