We will be on Verbs I-2 (second AHSGE objective)beginning Sept. 2. Workbook p. 141-158. ALFA essay is due Sept. 30. Read below for details.
10th Grade - Vocab test are every Friday. Know synonyms. English follows AHSGE objectives/workbook pages that go with objectives. Nouns I-1 was last Thurs. Find out what your child made on this first AHSGE objective test. They need to have 80 and above to make sure they can pass the AHSGE in March/Writing Assessment in FEB. 10th Grade is reading SILAS MARNER; test is Sept. 22. We will be on Verbs I-2 (second AHSGE objective) beginning Sept. 3. Workbook p. 141-158. We have the essay title for the ALFA Essay Contest: Farm-City: Pathways to Progress" Everyone in 9th and 10th grades have to research the topic and write the essay. Research comes from 3 sources: internet, library books/encyclopedias, personal interviews with farmers/city business people. Due Sept. 30, typed, double-spaced, 12 Font Times New Roman 500-1000 words.
