               HEALTH ADVISORY

- If your student has health problems such as asthma or other restrictive conditions, please let us know IN WRITING.  If your student needs access to an asthma inhaler, he/she should either have one with them or keep one in the nurse's station.

As part of the Tennessee student health initiative, we will also be conditioning on a daily basis for a ONE MILE RUN (timed).  This run is done outdoors as a full class activity.  The time for each student will become part of a database with the state of Tennessee's student health initiative.  Students all across the state will participate at specific grade levels.  Student heights and weights will also be taken (in privacy) and the school nurse will be measuring individual blood pressure.
These measurements will be anonymous when entered into the database.
