Track meet for tonight has been cancelled. The boys will have no practice tomorrow. The next track meet will be next week. Good luck on Tcap.
Mar 25: For the parents who would like to have their 8th grade boys go to the Freshman meeting at MHS tomorrow, you may pick them up from the track meet only after they are done with their races. Anyone who rides with another's parent needs to have a note permitting them to ride. All other athletes must stay and ride the bus. Please don't take them from the track meet if they aren't done; they may be in a relay that involves a team.
For the girls, Coach Stagner is speaking with them at practice today. You should find out the news by this afternoon.
Attention to all athletes:
No athlete may stay after school with the AAU basketball team unless they are "personally" involved with the practice. They must go home. It is merely an accountability issue that has been brought to my attention.
Last couple of thoughts,
1. Don't forget to bring your subway and concession money tomorrow so that you may eat here and later at the meet.
2. Wash your uniform and compression gear.
3. If the meet is "rained out," we will know by 1:00. So, be sure to call your folks.

For many interested runners and parents, I will be going through the old races for the past 11 years, (wow, that's a long time doing this) and finding all the records that I can. We just had one record broken last week, however I need to post all the others. I hope that I get this right. Anyways, ya'll may see a few familiar names if you've been around the school long enough.
March 23rd: Athletes, don't forget to wash your uniforms for the track meet Thursday.
Boys track: We'll be training at the high school tomorrow. We'll be working on relays, split times, throws and jumps. It will be a 5:30 dismissal from the high school. Pray that it doesn't rain. Stretch early and often!!!
March 17th
The Eagles ran a track meet at Brighton High School. The boys and girls both finished second in a 3 way meet.
During the meet, 1 school record was eclipsed by a new runner to our program.

Marvin was a very valuable athlete from 2001 to 2003. He held two records at our school. The 100 meter dash/ 10.7 seconds, and the long jump/ 20ft 1 3/4 in.
The Boys and Girls team have 4 regular season track meets starting next Tuesday at Brighton. The schedule is below.

At this moment, I am trying to contact and negotiate with Arlington HS and Bolton HS to use their track and field facilities.
Boys team notes:
They are required to wash and "shout out" any stains that they find on their new tops. Bottoms shall be issued tomorrow to give them the weekend for cleaning.
Find a river and a rock boys...It's washin' time.
Be sure to remind your child on the track team that this is a coed sport and that there are females on the team. I'd hate to have an unfortunate occurrence happen, which would lead to an athlete not participating.
