Students will define Lesson 11 spelling words. The students will complete the diagnostic preview on page 552.
WEDNESDAY
The teacher will discuss what the table of contents contains in a book. The teacher will also discuss with students what is found in an atlas. Students will complete a sheet on an atlas and on using table of contents in a book. Students will learn about the Dewey Decimal system of the library through a powerpoint presentation.
THURSDAY
The teacher will present a powerpoint presentation on the card catalog of the library. The students will learn how to effectively use a card catalog (manual or electronic) to help them as they conduct research in the library.
Students will learn about conjunctions and interjections. (textbook pages 374-377) They will complete workbook pages 58-60 on conjunctions and interjections.
FRIDAY
Students will take Lesson 11 Spelling Test. Students will also take a test on the Dewey Decimal System and the card catalog of the library. Students will write Lesson 12 spelling words 5 times each.
