PLANS FOR THE WEEK OF:
May 11-15, 2009

Your child should continue to read the assigned words found in their binder in the "WORDS TO KNOW" folder. (Review Week 25) They will be tested on these words at the end of each week. The students should continue reading the books that are in their plastic ziploc envelopes.  Please find time to listen to your child and help them read through these books. REMEMBER...ask questions to check your child's comprehension on their stories!

The next two weeks will be used to revisit all skills taught this year in first grade.  We are working towards the End-of-the-Year POST TEST to see what your little one has learned and retained in their "great little minds"!!!

This week the students will be introduced to Unit 17..."Cluster 'st'".  The students will be assigned the words and sentences as CLASSWORK  and whatever is not completed in class will be HOMEWORK. By clicking on the link below, you will find a list of the words for the week, along with a Power Point presentation.

This week, the students will continue with Science Unit 5: Plants and Animals They will learn the parts of a plant and the growing cycle of plants and what they need to grow...as well as describe the habitats of different animals and what they need to survive.
