Hopefully you were able to have a relaxing weekend. As we start this week, I wanted to remind you about Friday. We will be celebrating Grandparents Day at 11:00 this Friday. Please invite Grandparents or another significant family member to join us. We are looking forward to our guests. As far as lunch goes on Friday, grandparents will not be able to eat a hot lunch in the cafeteria on Friday. They are more than welcome to come back and join the kids for lunch, or they may check them out for lunch with written permission from parents.
Also, we will be having spelling and vocabulary this week. Please remember that reading logs started Sunday. Students need to read 100 minutes this week and record it on their reading log. This week runs through Saturday and I will check their number of minutes on Monday. Thank you for all of your help.

I hope everyone is having a great week! I wanted to remind you that we will have a spelling and vocabulary test tomorrow. Those words are in a spiral notebook that is living behind their agenda in the binder. We have been working with these words all week in class as well. Please make sure your child is showing you their agenda every night. Homework is circled or highlighted so that it doesn't get forgotten. Also, your child is suppose to make sure that you sign the agenda so that I know that they have talked to you about their day at school. Don't forget that Back to School night is next Tuesday and that Grandparent's Day is September 5th. More information about both of these activities will come home this evening. Thank you!
