This next week we are finishing up our second letters to our pen pals. I am impressed with what your child has written about Thanksgiving. Sharing their knowledge on this important holiday to someone that has never experienced the holiday has been eye opening to them. It is one of my favorite projects of the year.
Even though we are moving on from Multiplication it is not done. We are going to practice EVERY day this week and continually the rest of the year. Please be practicing at home. After Thankgiving we are going to start our Banana Splits tests. Info will come home then describing the process and reward at the end. Make it a family/friend event this Thanksgiving creating multiplication problems and challenging your child to solve them.
I am not going to do a newsletter for the short week. If I need to let you know any info I will pass it on via email. If you know you will be gone those two days or for the half day please let me know, it really helps for attendance reasons. I hope you have a wonderful Thankgiving. This year I am thankful for the wonderful students in my class. They are a blessing each day I get to teach them.
Have an outstanding week and two days! Enjoy the time off with your child.

• Mrs. Little our technology facilitator will be volunteering with Operation Care in December. This organization helps the homeless with many basic needs as well as ministers the word of God. She is collecting items as a donation. Here some things she needs: coats for adults and children, shoes and socks for adults, blankets, sleeping bags, feminine products, diapers, and toys for infants and toddlers. If you would like to contribute please send in new or gently used items before Dec. 1. I think is a great way that our class can give back this holiday season to our local area.
