We are down to the final countdown. Can you believe how fast our year went? This is always a bittersweet time of year for me. I am so happy with the progress the kids have made and I am glad they have grown into super 2nd graders, but I hate to see my babies leave me! Thank you so much for sharing your precious children with me!
I wanted to thank you all for your sweet words and gifts during Teacher Appreciation! Your words and your childrens' words made my day!

Dear Wellington Parents,
Can you believe that the week of May 26th is our next to last week of school? We do ask that you do any of your lunch time visiting during this week of 5/26 and avoid coming for lunch on the last week of school.
With school parties, special fifth grade events, etc. our last week of school is often crowded with visitors already on campus. We have all year to have lunch visits, so we do close our lunch room to visitors the very last week of school to help with crowd control. As always, if you have a special concern, you can contact me individually. Thanks for your help!

There are no charges allowed in the cafeteria. Please double check your child's account. The kids will not be able to get a tray lunch if they do not have enough money. Thanks so much!!
Our class party will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009! I hope you can all attend! It will be held from 1:30 - 2:30.
Please make sure your child returns their library book. The kids that have a clear library record receive a game day.
Homework News
There will be no homework for the remainder of the year!
Don't forget that Friday, June 5th is an early dismissal day! All students will be dismissed at 1:30!
Summer Enrichment
Lisa Matthews (1st grade teacher) and Christy Tidwell (1st grade teacher) will be providing private summer tutoring to students. If you are interested in more information, please contact either one.
