Welcome to the Downing Middle School Orchestra Class!
6th Grade:
Tuesday 2-Friday 5:
We will be practicing getting into playing position, learning the left hand position (home base), and practicing bow holds with dowels. We will learn the Melody line to Hot Cross Buns and play duets in class.
7/8th Grade:
Tuesday 2-Friday 5:
We will be learning the District/Region cuts and pieces. We have a DM scale test on Tuesday and a section test on m. 1-21 of Summer Dance. We will be learning the Beethoven Finale piece and sight reading Sweet Moments.
