Welcome to the Downing Middle School Orchestra Class!
6th Grade:
Monday 18-Friday 22:
We will refine playing positions and tuning procedures. We will be speeding up our tuning and begin to learn to use pegs. We will work on straight bows and weight/speed/placement of bows. We will be working out of the EE book 1 and the music packets. We will also work on our new concert music.
7/8th Grade:
Monday 19-Friday 22:
We will work on vibrato exercises and open string bowing. We will be working out of our EE Book 2 and rhythm sheets. We will be working on the concert music.
